Deep Within Recordings presents the DJINN EP, the latest record from DJ and producer VISLA.

Hailing from England, the EP marks a milestone for the artist, as it's his first-ever EP. VISLA presents an expansive vision of drum & bass, mixing R&B sensibilities with the D&B framework, alongside the type of club heaters you'd expect on a record from Deep Within Recordings. It’s clear that VISLA is a talented producer, and his name should be on the lips of every drum & bass enthusiast.

Title track 'DJINN' opens the EP. Synth notes warp above percussion before unfurling into full-blown riffs. The sonics hit a fever pitch, then the verse hits, and we're into driving percussion lines, pitched vocals and momentous bass patterns. A lesson in texture, 'DJINN' takes the framework of drum & bass and mixes it with a futuristic, R&B style sheen.

'Throat Burn' is made for the clubs. The track kicks off with clawing synth notes and distorted bass, but the verse is where things get going. Built around a rolling bass riff and propelled by rapid drums, the structure is minimal, poised for the ravers to get lost inside.
'2point' continues on a similar tip. Opening with dark synth lines, the tune soon descends into a roller packed with angular riffs, pinpoint percussion, and deep bass tones.

'Loose Game' closes out the EP. Here, VISLA builds tension in the intro with laser-like riffs, adding a brief percussion pattern shortly after. When the drop lands, glitchy one-shots hit the speaker, paired off with skittering percussion for an edgy, end-of-the-night atmosphere.

DJINN EP will arrive to Beatport & Spotify on the 12th of August, landing on all digital platforms two weeks later on the 26th August.
